Frequently asked questions about a caregiver resume
Do caregivers need a certification?
It depends on the job. Aides who work for certified home health or hospice agencies must complete formal training and pass a standardized test, and some states require a license or certification. First aid and CPR may also be required.
What should a caregiver resume include with no experience?
Experience caring for a family member, volunteering, your first aid or CPR card and your availability.
Is a caregiver the same as a home health aide?
They overlap. Home health aides may also do basic health tasks under supervision, while personal care aides focus on daily living. Use the title in the job ad.
